Phillies place All-Star Victorino on DL (AP)
The Philadelphia Phillies have placed All-Star center fielder Shane Victorino on the 15-day disabled list because of a thumb injury. Victorino sprained a ligament in his right thumb in a game last weekend at Toronto. He's hitting .303 with nine homers, 34 RBIs and 13 stolen bases.
